電臺DJ出專輯不算新鮮事, 但辭掉工作, 全情投入當歌手的, 前972DJ黃德江要屬第一人.
兩年前, 德江毅然結束12年的廣播生涯, 追尋年輕時的歌星夢. “我很愛唱歌, 想過當偶像歌手, 不過這個夢想在25歲時就死了.” 後來工作上的瓶頸, 讓他決定暫時出走, 吸收新的養份.
離開電臺後, 德江在香港住了下來, 並開始埋首創作. 後來, 是一名錄音師朋友喚醒了他的”舊夢”. “他提議由我詮釋自己的作品. 想想,33歲出專輯應該不會太惡心, 再等兩年恐怕會被笑死.”

不過, 最辛苦的, 還是放下身段去推銷自己, 找人贊助專輯. “有的商家覺得我名氣不夠, 一口就拒絕, 這是叫我最難受的. 不過, 任何媽媽都會願意為孩子犧牲, 我不做, 誰做?”
既然是幫自己爭取, 也就不怕丟臉. 德江笑自己臉皮夠厚, 終於說服了贊助商, 最後, 他自己只需掏出少過1萬元.” 詞曲都是我寫的嘛, 所以版權也省了下來.”
在專輯中, 德江嘗試寫了多種曲風的歌曲, 包括融入巴哈古典樂曲的<愛上你>,以及把劉德華的成名曲串聯起來的<劉X華>.後者本來是寫給華仔唱的, 可是被退回來, 德江便找來劉德華模仿大賽的冠軍合唱這首歌, 幽華仔一默.
德江給自己的”Baby”打了7分, “這次因為技術上還沒有準備好, 所以事倍功半. 我還需要多聽, 多學習, 有了充足的準備, 機會來臨時, 才能夠把握.”
他也想以這番體驗, 來勉勵發明星夢的年輕人. “一些青少年一心想當SUPERSTAR, 可是他們有沒有問自己, 他們今天為明天做了哪些準備?”
創作帶給德江的滿足感和樂趣, 讓他沒有回返播音室的念頭, 而是準備以做音樂為長遠的目標. 他的作品也將出現在<絕對SUPERSTAR>石欣卉的專輯裡.
